W162: Photography and Moviemaking in the Early Childhood Classroom

Wednesday 25 January 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM Location:
Orange County Convention Center - North 330D

Track:
Future of EdTech Early Learning

Learn how to share your classroom activities and successes through photography and moviemaking. You will view early childhood movie projects and brainstorm topics for your students. You will master the use of simple apps and tools that allow you to quickly and easily transform photographs of student work into movies that can be shared with families and the school community. Discover several powerful tools that can be combined with traditional hands-on creations made in the classroom to create digital projects that students and teachers will be proud to share. You will also learn about apps geared toward early learners that allow children to create and share their own work. You will develop lessons for your children to create a movie using apps that include drawing tools and popular book characters. Experience the ease of posting your final product to Padlet or our Twitter hashtag at the completion of this workshop.
