STEAMing It Up with Literacy Focused Activities
Many students describe STEAM fields as boring, tedious, or lacking in excitement. To combat this notion and excite kids about the possibilities, we developed fun and engaging activities that grab attention and get students to look at Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in a new way. In this session you will learn short, fun activities to get kids involved and actively pursuing STEAM. Lessons are accompanied by books that introduce or follow activities. The 28 lessons that will be shared are not just for class, they are perfect for STEAM family nights or at home activities.
