Hey #teachers, wanna make attendance fun?
1) Choose a topic (best candy/Disney movie/etc.)
2) Create a March Madness-style bracket
3) Have students vote daily to get !

PBLWorks (@PBLWorks) The TAG Critique Protocol can be used in any grade or subject!
Students and teachers love its simplicity and how it scaffolds the development of essential critique skills.

I have been using and sharing a fairly new digital learning platform, The Achievery. The Achievery is an absolutely FREE and very engaging digital learning tool that has lessons created by ASCD (& content from AT&T, in collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery and other partners). It has been great for engagement since it has clips from some of the most popular, well-loved movies, TV shows, and cartoons from Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network, paired with lessons. Here’s a short video overview. If you haven’t started exploring, create an account using this unique URL. Patrick Hausammann <[email protected]>

From Eric Curts: For an easy way to catch up on everything new in Google for Education from the last month, check out the recorded video, detailed agenda, and all the links from the GEG-Ohio February 2024 Meeting. We covered lots of new Google updates and helpful ideas and resources for schools. You can access the recorded video, agenda, and all the links at:

From Gold EDU group discussing Google Scavenger Hunt ideas:

Google Docs- It's a take off of Catlin Tucker's Google Docs scavenger hunt - modified again for 3rd graders.

These are very old but something I did when originally training staff on Docs and Slides (back in 2016!) and they were called Google Apps for Education

I have this one https://youtu.be/ZXUVZgSHV14

I've collected a couple as well. I have used both with 3rd/4th graders. You may want to double check all the links and activities before sharing it - if memory serves, I did need to modify a couple of things to better suit the students.
