Team Basketball Info:
Team Basketball is a group of five students in a 4th grade class. They are below grade level in reading. Their team name was voted on by the 3 boys and 2 girls who are all basketball fans and players. Their reading level is slightly below level, therefore their text in the Newsela program is lower. Because of their interest in basketball, the teacher tries to select passages that will catch their attention. The extension activities provide choices so students can self-select and use their strengths and interests, while still practicing the same skill of creating questions.
