Engaging Assessments That Promote Student Voice and Choice
In this session attendees will learn about alternatives to paper pencil traditional assessments that can be used in the classroom and also during home based learning. These assessment options encourage students to show what they know through their own skills, including art, music, technology, and more. Student examples will be shared along with rubrics to grade these types of assessments. And even better, teachers do not have to be experts on software, programs, or artistic mediums to assign or grade these projects because kids are the lead and teachers are the support.
